An Independent eleven-bedroom hotel in the centre of Dereham dating back to the 17th Century. We boast a huge private garden, grass tennis court and ample off road parking.

A Place to Stay

We have a good mixture of twins, doubles and single rooms as well as a family room. All rooms are en-suite and equipped with tea & coffee making facilities and a television.

Currently undergoing an extensive renovation scheme, several of our rooms are now newly refurbished with brand new bathrooms and our aim is to achieve a 4 star standard in all our rooms by the end of the refurbishment period.

We are fast developing an excellent reputation for our newly refurbished 40 seater restaurant with extensive dinner and bar menu. We choose only the freshest ingredients sourced from local suppliers, combined to offer the best, innovative, Modern English and European food.

Whether you are looking for an intimate table for two in the restaurant, are meeting friends for a relaxed Sunday lunch, or need a full-blown banquet for a wedding or event we can cater for any eventuality.

A Place to Drink

With a comfortable lounge bar and plenty of outside seating in our walled garden we offer the perfect setting to relax and enjoy our fine selection of lagers, beers and real ales on tap.

We can also boast a range of bottled beers and ciders and a selection of spirits to suit any pallette. Combine this with a distinguished wine list hand chosen from the world's best regions to offer everything from a crisp Pinot Grigio or fruity Sauvignon Blanc to a smooth Australian Shiraz or fruit packed Rioja.

A place to Entertain

We have a function room and a marquee available for private functions. Our function room seats up to 40 guests and has its own private bar and toilet facilities and has access through patio doors straight into our large garden, ideal if you want a garden drinks reception in the summer.

Our Marquee can seat a further 50 and set in our beautiful garden make it the ideal wedding venue. We offer a range of catering options, from a simple finger buffet to private BBQ's or a 3 course banqueting menu and can even supply any extras you may need - from flowers to swing bands!
